Welcome! We're incredibly excited to have you join us on this journey. From the heart of Queens, NYC to the Kentucky Blue Grass, we've grown up and lived the South Asian experience across the US. Together, we experienced firsthand the challenges of staying connected to our South Asian roots, especially through our clothes. Traditional South Asian clothing was not only hard to find but also expensive, and too often, these beautiful garments were worn just a few times before being tucked away.

We met during business school and quickly realized that we weren't alone in facing these challenges. Many others in our community shared the same experiences and frustrations. This common bond became the impetus for us to start Zaars. We wanted to create an online marketplace where people could easily buy and sell South Asian clothing, making it more accessible and affordable for everyone.

But our vision goes beyond just commerce. We believe in educating consumers about South Asian textiles, giving these garments a new life, promoting sustainability, and building a community that values and shares our rich cultural heritage.
